Description

I was close to playing in the NHL. I had two things that kept me out. Size and talent! I had a good run when I was younger and in better shape. After my three years playing for Eastern Michigan University, I realized that my body couldn’t handle the beating (23 broken bones, 198 stitches and staples, dislocated shoulder, torn ligiments in my knee, 10.5 hours of surgury, a bone graph, nerve graph and a screw). When I put on my skates, I thought I was 6’-4" and 240lbs. I was actually only 5’-10" and 155 lbs. I kept playing in senior leagues in Michigan and moved to North Carolina almost two years ago. I did find a few leagues here, but the talent level was sub par and I lost interest in playing. I guess thats what happens when you get old!
