This is a ongoing topic and has just become pathetic. The NBA has started reviewing every play to make sure the call is right and I think goals and certain penalties should be under review. The goal in dallas vs detroit should have been a goal it was 1.7 seconds after the puck went it there is no way the ref could take that long to blow is whistle. The highstick in the leafs vs hurricanes where the hurricane player highsticked his own player and it was a 4 minute powerplay what was a bad call and the hurricanes player kicked the puck into his own net and the goal was disallowed and when the puck that went into the netting and ended up in the net if the puck is out its out. REVIEW is NEEDED NHL IS A JOKE FIX THIS LEAGUE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do you think?

The NHL { Gary" The Rat " Bettman and his little Napolian club }are what is wrong with the greatest game on earth. The "Zebera's" are running around like retard's with whistle's . They call penalties on the wrong player's ; allow goal's that clearly should not be and call back goal''s that should be counted....
........ And where are Gary and his boy's? they are off in the corner trying to come up with yet another way of f$#^*&g up the league just a little bit more. Are you all starting to see why the NBA tossed this puke out of their group? There was a time when the team or the player could speak Their mind's ; but Gary and the Napolian club have taken care of that. You can't hurt the Zebera's feeling's , that would be a NO NO!! You know ; where I work , if you screw up enough you get repremanded for it , and if you are too stupid to learn from your mistake's , stronger measure's are taken to push the point home. Now I realize that a mental midget like Master Gary [ ANYONE WHO THINK'S PHEONIX DESERVE'S A TEAM OVER WINNIPEG ] might have a hard time with a concept like this, but why not try reviewing a call if it is disputed. If it is a goal or a penalty and it was a bad call the review should be called apon. This is getting to be rediculious and because Gary has made it so the team's can't say anything I guess it's up to the fan's to make the point. Unfortunately if you don't have money you don't matter. They've cut anyone who's not going to shell out major bucks for tickets or an overpriced NHL center ice where you might be able to watch all the games you want to. Fans don't matter, Players don't matter, he could care less for the history and tradition of the game. If you guys haven't figured it out by now the only thing Buttman cares about is that green...and i'm not talking about something you smoke
 . As fans I'd love to be able to do something, but i'm not really sure what we can do. I'd like to see the refs actually taking responsibility for failing to do their jobs, but that won't happen as long as these jerks are running things. Get rid of half these new rules, hold refs responsible for their JOBS, and let players play without fear of being suspended for hitting someone too hard or whatnot. Yeah I can dream. |

Saw another goal that was disallowed during the Habs vs Penguins game this season. Puck was loose in the crease and ref lost sight of the puck so he used the "intent" to blow whistle rule to disallow the goal score by the Habs player. Habs lost the game and the fans at Bell Centre booed thunderously loud for like 10 minutes. Game was on NHL Network and broadcast by Pittsburgh and even those two in the booth thought the Habs got robbed of a goal! Could barely hear them speak over the boos from the fans after that.
"War Room" in Toronto might as well be shuttered up if they are not going to use them to right these horrible mistakes that the NHL's zebras make. Hockey is not like the NBA! What is the harm in reviewing every controversial goal???? The league should know by now that the refs are not respected very much as is so reviewing their calls on goals doesn't anywhere nearly harm their image.

They won't do anything until attendance and ratings go down, and even then I guarantee they'll blame it on something else and try to make some b.s. rule and change the game in order to get the ratings and attendance back up. When you have monkey's running a business you're not going to get intelligent decisions.
