It was bad enough the poor call and lame excuse by the officials during the game and the subsequent discussion with Toronto on the call but the NHL's official explanation takes the cake. Would they like us to drink the Jim Jones Kool-aid or Jesus Juice that a puck at least 3 feet from the net on the hockey stick of May can't be seen?  HEY NHL TIME FOR A PHYSICS LESSON - PUCK ON STICK, PLAYER SHOOTS PUCK WITH POWER (AKA THRUST), PUCK TRAVELS TOWARD OBJECT (NET) (AKA ACCELERATION) AND REACHES OBJECT (GOES IN).  If the intent was to blow the whistle then when did that intent occur - when the puck was 3 feet from the goal on May's stick, while it was moving toward the goal (visible to Ray Charles), or after it was in the goal and blocked from view - hmmm, I'm going with the later, therefore IT WAS AND IS A GOAL.
 
What happened to admitting mistakes, even if they are not corrected at the time.  THE NHL CLEARLY SUCKS and this pathetic excuse does nothing to attract and maintain fans.
 
GET IT TOGETHER NHL AND 'MAN UP' - WHAT A SLIPPERY SLOPE YOU HAVE CREATED JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN'T DEAL WITH A MISTAKE.
 
I do not agree with what happened in the game but am more infuriated that the NHL expects us to buy and accept that lame explanation. THE NHL SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF ITSELF AND IF THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE TURNING THE GAME INTO - ADIOS!
