Description:
I am just a girl that started watching hockey recently. I really did not know anything about the game except that the season was really long. I was in a long distance relationship, and it seemed that everytime that I was on the phone, he was either watching hockey, getting ready to watch hockey, or had just finished watching a match. I started watching it out of self preservation. What were we going to talk about if I did not know anything about it? First off I just watched the guys. Girlie thing, I am sure. One player caught my eye because he was interesting looking. That player was Eric Perrin. I learned his number so I could start watching him on the ice. Soon I became interested in what he was doing and began learning the game. Then I started going to games. There is nothing like hockey. The play is so quick, so physical. Being at the games you can feel the energy. The fans are alive with excitement! I have met so many wonderful people at the games some became good friends, some friends just for that game, but friends all the same. I become rather anal about things, so I did research about the game and it’s history and even bought the book “Hockey For Dummies”. I am now quite a fan. I still do a lot of research about the game and its players and you will probably see a lot of blogs here from me on the things I find out. I volunteer for the Lightning foundation, and attend as many of the practice sessions as I am able. I love the game, and am so happy to have been introduced to it. I am a Tampa Bay Lightning fan through the good times and the bad. I would love it if they won every game, but I know it is not going to happen. Like a mother to her naughty child, I would still forgive the transgressions and hope for better behaviour in the future. **I live in Hockey Bay USA and the Tampa Bay Lightning are my team!!**

Tonight's game..
..is a “must win!” I would hate to see the Pens go back to Pittsburgh down 0-2 in this series. If they lose tonight, it might start eating away at their confidence, which is probably where their inexperience could cause the team problems. I think game 1 enabled the Pens to get a feel for playing against The Redwings, but now they need to adjust their game so they can skate effectively and get the win. I see that Therrien has made adjustments to the lines, which I’m not sure I agree with, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how these changes affect their game.

New lines for tonight’s game:
Crosby, Hossa and Malone
Malkin, Sykora and Talbot
Staal, Kennedy and Dupuis
Roberts, Hall, Ruutu
Let’s hope that Fleury can skate onto the ice at the beginning of the game without falling on his face! OUCH!
GO PENS!!!!!!
