Cluster Puck ...

I can only be just so profane before I’m escorted to virtual limbo by the censors, but consider me to have sworn a blue-streak over the latest Shark’s fiasco . . . uh, game. Flat? No, pancake doesn’t come close. Think flatland, two dimensional – Nabby and everyone else. I’m not sure why the Sharks bothered to show up. They could have conceded the game without doing it on the ice and saved themselves the plane fare.
What I truly don’t understand is how a team can play with such amazing teamwork in one game and then like a bunch of strangers in the next. You’d swear from last night’s game, the players had never even been introduced! Our leading scorers aren’t, the defense isn’t . . . sloppy playing, bad passing, turnovers …. the list goes on and on. “The Flames outhit the Sharks 13-4 and won almost 70 percent of the faceoffs in the first period”, to quote the Mercury News. Well, there you are.
And oh, so many missed scoring opportunities. Yes, credit to Kipper for another great game but – this is the playoffs – if we can’t get by him, we don’t deserve to be here. I watched this happen last season … playing like every game didn’t really matter. Once again, the Sharks are snoozing themselves out of the playoffs.
Right! Enough doom and gloom – I haven’t waved the white flag just yet. To quote the erudite Mr. Berra, “It ain’t over till it’s over.” We have game seven on Tuesday so I’ll either be in a very good mood on Wednesday or a very bad mood for the rest of the week/month/season.
Hockey, can’t beat it with a stick.
Go Sharks!

Don't forget Iginla!
I’m sure you’re not purposely neglecting the determination of the Flames. You pegged it yourself. The Flames out-hit the Sharks and won all the face-offs. That’s enough to throw any team (whether they be good or pancake-like) off it‘s game.
Now, the missed scoring opportunities – that’s a whole other kettle of problems. Let’s hope for the very good mood on Wednesday.
GO SHARKS! GO SABS!!!

Haha I totally agree
“A pancake doesn’t even come close” so true!!
I was going to state who our best player was in my blog but I figured, what’s the point? We all sucked.
But you’re right, I haven’t waved the white flag yet. I’m confident about tomorrow!
