the habs have made all the right moves to improve this season by adding some extra scoring touch and a playmaker in tanguay as well a much needed enforcer in georges laraque for toughness on the young sqaud i think the habs are still missing some depth on defence after losing brisebois and streit leaving josh gorges as a top four defenceman theyre are some intriging defenceman out there like veteran teppo numminen but hes had heart problems recently so he wouldnt be a wise choice theres also mezei,kasparitus and matvichuk but gainey has hisd eyes on sundin and is waiting for his decision very soon the chance of him coming to the bleu blanc and rouge is declining for theirare 3 other (other then vantormtl)teams urging to nab sundin. i am satisfied in goal marcdenis should be a capable replacement for yann danis and is able to releive halak or price anytime ive noticed the habs have lots of depth on defence in the farm system like most recently signed alex henry and former high touted prospect shawn belle so im not that worried about the future espiacally with ryan mcdonagh and pk subban waiting in the wings. i have also noticed gainey is going after quebec or montreal born players and i do like this tactic laraque and tanguay have both mentioned that they should enjoy their time in montreal because theyre closer to family other notable montrealers are yannick lehoux and marc denis and finally here is the habs depth chart
