Though they went to the Stanley Cup Final, the Pittsburgh Penguins will have some holes to fill in the fall. They may turn to a solid roster of prospects to provide the answers. Caputi's potential has Penguins excited
The Vancouver Canucks chipped in for charity at the Athletes Against Autism golf tournament in British Columbia. Also, the Wings' Kirk Maltby enjoys his day with the Stanley Cup. Golfing for a cause
While defenseman Zach Bogosian is drawing the bulk of the attention, most around the Atlanta Thrashers -- including Bogosian -- are just as excited about another young blue-line prospect, Arturs Kulda.
Mario Kempe, the only Swedish-born player in the Flyers' system, got a feel for North American hockey in the QMJHL. After posting career-highs there, he returned to Sweden this season, but he still has his eye on the NHL.

hey
Thanks for the links I’ve checked out www.sabresfans.com many times. It has a lot of good people on it, the other one is new to me so I’ll post some comments. I like this site because I have some say in things here and met some good friends in the sabres group. It can be strange how the sabres can bring people together. This group has grown so much. We joined around the same time, so its good to talk to one of the “older” members.

A little birdy told me..
Once upon a time there was a team…..(dream sequence begins now) and a big old city, which had a lot of blue collar workers, hard workers, many lived pay check to pay check without much chance for a luxury home or a dream car or vacation. They were happy nonetheless, because much of the country looked down on us. “The Blizzard Capital of the world” they would say. “who would want to live there, there’s a brown cloud from the steel mills over the city, ugh” Then we decided we liked it when people look down to us, “now I feel like I’m in on a little secret, and the world can go to H%*#”. Fast Forward….picture it the 1990’s. What a lovely time…Vanilla Ice was to the extreme, Nirvana smelled like teen spirit and a little team called the Buffalo Bills broke are hearts, four years in a row. But its like the first time a significant other cheats on you…the first time is what kills you, the rest is just self-denial and hope. Picture it, the new century, a chance for HOPE and perhaps a little denial, but isn’t that all we have in this world. (oh god this soap box is killing my feet) Anyways, on WGR yesterday they talked about this very question…are we overly critical, overly dramatic, especially when it comes to our sports teams. The answer is yes, but we all have that little four letter word “hope”. Some of us won’t publiclly admit it, most of us are first to bash the Bills or Sabres when they lose, but we’re the first one’s to scream at “outsiders” bashing our teams, we won’t stand idley by and let a Dallas fan say to us “yeah that was a goal” or “they really suck…” ITS OUR TEAM ONLY WE CAN LIVE OR DIE ON A GOAL AT 3:00AM, ONLY WE CAN SAY MAYBE NORWOOD SHOULD HAVE MADE THAT FIELD GOAL” You know why, because we are BUFFALO, and no one can say otherwise. Not many outsiders can understand what it means to live on the brink (maybe Redsox fans) of something no one can ever take away from us, and I will be there one day to laugh in their faces and go to every parade and shout it from the roof tops…I AM A BUFFALO FAN!!!!!!

The Sabres Fan Nation Takes It On The Road!
The Sabres Fan Nation Takes It On The Road! 1-21-2007 14:27:23 Now is the time to TAKE IT ON THE ROAD. Sick of other team fans cheering in our arena. Sabres fans are taking the game on the road starting in Columbus, Friday 2/2/07. I’m personally sick of seeing less than full arenas around the league, and there not always empty because the home team isn’t playing well, take New Jersey. Thats why independent movements are taking place NOW to show our team that we are the best traveling fans in the league. Please use this site as a forum for anouncing road trips with groups of Sabres fans who want to show the league how we do it here in Buffalo. Spread the word on joining the Sabres group site on NHL.com, NHL connect will have to buy more servers because Sabres Fans are The BEST FANS IN THE LEAGUE !! GO SABRES!
