Well here we are, the Stanley Cup Finals are looming. Playing for the greatest trophy in sports, bar none. Nothing in sports is better than this. Some thoughts as we head into what should be a great 2008 cup run.

Crosby- While he is a great player, he is also a great actor,instead of putting on the pads, he should put on the scuba gear, the diving is out of hand and I am sure we will see him do it over and over, in the Finals. What ever happend to the diving penalty anyways?

Osgood- No one is talking about how great he has been, IMO he is the secret weapon for the Wings, I have full confindence that Ozzie can beat Flurrey, who again IMO, really has not been tested. He will against the Wings, and those HUGE rebounds will be in the back of the net against the Wings.

I see the Wings winning this series in 7 games. It will be a great series, but for whatever reason the Pens do not scare me. I am more afaird of the refs in this series than anything, they will cater to Crosby and Malkin, and I am sure any Pens fan reading this would disagree, but it is true. Hossa for me is the most scary on the team, I am not concered with the Pens D, and Fluery well, once he is tested, I think than we will see what kind of a goalie he really is. I am not saying that he has not made key big saves, but Turco, and Naby I thought have much more solid.

Having said all that its a shame the Wings do not play the Pens more often, once a year stuff is BS. But I know that it will not take long for these two teams to not like each other.
