AND THEN THERE WERE 2!

The Frozen Four title game on Saturday features one school who’s been there before and one school who has not. The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame are the newcomers even though their head coach Jeff Jackson is not. Coach Jackson steered Lake Superior State to championship seasons in 1992 & 1994 and that perseverance held true in getting Notre Dame to the final. After relinquishing a 3-0 lead to conference foe Michigan, they stayed the course, swiping a 5-4 overtime win. In the earlier semi-final contest, the Eagles of Boston College had their way with the Fighting Sioux of North Dakota 6-1. This makes the 3rd consecutive year for BC to reach the title game, having to get past North Dakota each time to make the finals. Last season,(‘07), BC fell to the Spartans of Michigan State while the ’06 Eagles came up short to the Badgers of Wisconsin. The Eagles’ last title in Division I Men’s Hockey came back in 2001 when, in overtime,(you guessed it), they defeated North Dakota. BRING ON THE TITLE GAME!!

Who jumped to a 3-0 lead?
Um… ND had the 3-0 lead in the 1st. I think big blue was a bit over confident and it cost them in the end.

i watched most most of the BC game
it was ridiculous, then i watched the dallas/anaheim game and thought i forgot to change the channel from espn 2 to VS. haha, sorry ducks fans, but i think the football tactics in the NHL has lost its fervor. oh and to comment further, if anyone else watched the frozen four, were you a bit peeved that college hockey was on espn and not the NHL?
