just a question

why do people think that the goal that was disallowed, should have been allowed?
goalie interference by rule is impeding the goaltender from freely moving to make a save. it does not matter if the goalie is in the crease or outside of the crease, nor does it matter if you use your body or your stick.
i just want to know what thoughts people have as to why it should have counted.
now about the game. the first period when both teams were feeling each other out, was pretty even. both teams created chances and both were doing pretty well.
however, in the second period, the pens started making unforced mistakes such as bad passes and bad line changes. the wings took advantage of this and then turned up the heat.
by the third period, it looked like the pens were frustrated and no longer skating.
detroit outplayed the pens and really took it to them in game one. luckily for the pens, that was one of the worst games they’ve played in a while and will surely have a better showing in the next game.
great game wings, hopefully the pens can start playing better and we’ll all be able to watch a great series.

    Picture's worth a 1000 words....

You tell me this. How is this interference? The puck is going in to the net high on Fleury’s right (stick) side and he’s looking DOWN because he has NO CLUE where it is. Homer’s out front with his stick on the ice waiting for a rebound, there’s a Pens defender’s stick BETWEEN Homer and Fleury…...Homer’s not making body contact and he’s not keeping Fleury from NOT playing the puck and the Pen’s Defensder is actually kicking Fleury’s left skate. Dan O’Halloran is a fricking idiot and should be removed from the SCF. The score of tonite’s game was 5-0.
