How SAD!!!

Are we witnessing the demise of the NHL as a legitimate major sports league?
I used to brag to my friends that the NHL used only the best officials and that they let the players determine the outcome of a game.
Unfortunately, this is the second time (Holmstrom’s penalty and the disallowing of a Wings goal) that referees have ruled against Holmstrom and the Wings this playoffs.
Should we just give the Penguins the Cup and forget about the rest of the series?
I hope I am wrong. But, NHL officials could go a long way to reassuring fans that they do want fair officiating by making sure that these two referees have called their last game for this season.

same referee, same bad call, same result
Can you say Dallas game 4 all over again? Seems funny that it is the same referee making the same wrong call and again taking away a Detroit goal. Who ever it is that grants referee licenses to these folks really need to take a DEEP long hard look at Dan O’Halloran and his calls over the last season invovling Detroit games. It may be coincidence, but there sure seems to be a pattern during the playoffs

Goal should have counted!
The officiating needs to get better!! The following refs are working this game. I think it was Devorski who waved off the goal! I think there will be 4 refs rotating during the finals. Let’s hope Devorski doesn’t work anymore games!
#10 – Paul Devorski
#13 – Dan O’Halloran

Exactly...
The league is making the Stanley Cup Playoffs an unbearable watch this year. It really is a shame.

.
It’s tough explaining to my 8 year old son that the league isn’t playing fair, and is actively taking a role in guiding their poster boy to his first cup.
