Danny Briere is the Man

Here’s yet another reason why hockey people are the best people – and that includes hockey players.
Tuesday morning, prior to Game 3 of the Flyers-Capitals series, I attended the Flyers’ morning skate. I wanted to talk to Danny Briere for a story, and he asked if it could wait so he could do all the media at once. I said fine and moved on to talk to other people.
I figured Briere would shower and leave and forget about me. Par for the course with pro athletes, right?
Well, I’m interviewing coach John Stevens, and out of the corner of my eye, I see Briere dressed and ready to leave. But rather than turn the corner and walk out the door, he sees me, walks back into the locker room, and sits and waits for me to finish talking to Stevens.
We chat for a few minutes, and he gives me great stuff.
Danny Briere. Much be French for class.
