Hello, my name is Elizabeth. I might consider myself a newbie to the NHL as I’m the first in my entire family tree to get hooked on the puck. I lived in Dallas for a while and one evening flipping through the channels I saw the Stars playing. I was mesmerized and captivated by the raw energy and force of the game. I have been passionate about the game ever since, watching and trying to learn as I go. I got lucky as I was privileged to watch the Stars win the Cup that year…what a way to initiate new fans!!! I’m now living in San Antonio, where it’s all about the Spurs, so I’m always glad to come across fellow NHL fans.

Favorite Sports/Teams:

I love All sports, as good hard competition is key for me, but Hockey is the Best! Dallas Stars all the way!!! I do admire and respect some other fine teams and players in the League.

Favorite Players:

I ♥ Modano! He is my favorite player, and afterall, watching him play got me hooked on Hockey, so I thank him too. The whole Stars roster, but especially, Morrow, Ribiero, Ott, and from other teams, I love, Ovechkin, Malkin, Hagman, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstom, Franzen, Selanne.

Music:

All music is good. A mix CD might include Foo Fighters, Rolling Stones, Dashboard Confessional, Frampton, Seether, Led Zeppelin, Tanya Tucker, Kenny Chesney, David Alan Coe, Lynard Skynard, Incubus,311, STP, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, Everlast, Amy Winehouse, Elton John, Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Crosby Stills and Nash, Elvis, Billy Holiday, Martina McBride, Etta James….just to name a few…..lol…...Did I mention I love music?

Books:

Bedside reading includes the number one all time best seller The New American Bible, cuz Jesus Totally Rocks!! I also keep handy in case I want to revisit “The Prophet” by Khalil Gibran. A good friend, Oury, turned me on to it and I have bought it for myself then given it away about 25 times cuz it’s just that good! Seriously, I totally and most highly recommend it to you!! Then we have Dr. Wayne Dyer’s “Tao”, the “Fountainhead” by Ayn Rand, “Contact” by Carl Sagan, “One” Richard Bach and “The way of the Wizard” Depak Chopra. I could go on and on… this too is one of my passions.

Movies:

Documentries are always fun, so yes, maybe I’m a bit of a nerd and I also love Comedies, ie Adam Sandler, (a good sense of humor is hot). The Graduate, Kramer vs. Kramer, Seabiscuit, Remember the Titans, The Sandlot, Miracle, Mighty Ducks. I like Indies, Foreign, and Action flicks too. Especially love classics like Casablanca, Sabrina (w/Audrey and Bogart), The Opposite Sex (Joan Crawfords big screen debut)

Other interests:

I’m a HUGE sports fanatic that thrives on a challenge and some good competition. I ♥ Jesus Christ!!!! and I love life! My family and friends say I wear “pink shades” as I look to find the good in all circumstances and everyone that surrounds me. Maybe I shouldve been born a Hippie, I like to cook, garden, read, write, listen to good music, and “Flower Power” aside, all I know is I like to meet people and I’m just a fan of humanity, who understands we are here to share the goodness and spread the Good Word and Rejoice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..............Now let’s have a beer and watch the game….Cheers!
