out of the loop
nice if they get a good offense guy. I don’t know anything about these guys that are in the draft. I kind of gave up on hockey for this season cause the devs are out.

Any other year I would agree that Lou isn’t gonna spend some $$$ but after this year he admitted he messed up and the loss to the Rangers could be like putting salt in his wounds. A playmaker would be nice and A captain for the power play would be great.

how are ya
Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. I have finals in school and that has taken up most of my time. I look forward to hearing what another devil fan has to say. Maybe if enough of us tell the team to sign some free agents, they will do it.

It is what it is.
I’m just a slightly interested spectator, now that my Flames are gonzo again. You might be feeling the same way now. At least the Sharks finally won a game to make that series interesting. So I gather that you think the team to beat the Penguins will have to come from the West. I do agree with you there. No one else scares me in the East but the Pens, and I think Detroit or Dallas are sound enough defensively to frustrate the young team.

Goal scorer
I think is their number one problem. You are right that they relied on Parise too much, and didn’t have anyone else score some goals. What happened to Elias, Gionta, and Langenbrunner. These guys have scored goals in the past, but no one answered the bell in the playoffs. Bad enough that they lost in the first round, but to do it to the Rangers made it that much worse. I was at the first two home games in the playoffs and you would have though that the games were being played at MSG, rather than Newark. So many Ranger fans. It was crazy.
After the past few years of losing all these players (Gomez, Rafalski, and Niedermayer) it is about time they went and got some players. Brodeur needs some help, and there are a few guys out there that they could sign who would help right away. Have to wait and see.

Hey....
Thanks for the add. Great to get a response back from you. Always looking to talk hockey with other fans, especially other Devil fans. Hope they make some moves this summer to pick up some scoring help. Really showed how hey relied on just a few guys, and when they slump the whole team cannot score. Need to spread the scoring out.
