Well..seeing as how the game ended some 2 1/2 hrs ago, I guess the conspiracy theorists have already started on the whole “the NHL needs to have games on NBC, the refs this…the refs that….” so on and so forth…it even went as far as an article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette the day before Game 5 of NYR series about how an extra game at home generates almost 2 million for the city this is where I roll my eyes
That being said…
Are you kidding me?!?? This Penguin team just came out in the first period and got outhustled and for the 1st time all playoffs..someone ACTUALLY took advantage of being on the Power Play…and the Pens were down in the hole 3-0…now the urgency was REALLY there in the 3rd..btw..Jordan Staal..BIG props to ya buddy…Your grandfather is proud of you! not that he wasn’t already
All in all, the task is still daunting for the Flyers, they have to win TWICE @ the Igloo….
which brings me to another point…I noticed towards tail-end of broadcast tonight a Flyer fan holding a sign saying “SEE YOU TUESDAY!” I’m all for optimism and things for your team…but I’ll just settle for the ol’ “One Game at a Time” speech.
I know the Sports talk around here for next day and half will be for the most part negative, and some will question this and that…and it makes me sick…Pittsburgh fans around this city NOTORIOUSLY have tunnel vision…you know just 2 DAYS ago some idiots around here were saying “Pens win Cup in 5!!” and now it’s “OMG…Could this REALLY go 7?!??”
But anywho…this was my 1st blog on here…must say I enjoy reading the material on here *for the most part
