With the NHL season now over, and hoping that we all stay in touch to talk hockey, I wanted to try something different. For each week, I am going to post a quote for the week from either a song or... More
It has been a fantastic season…and one that has come to an end. We have seen champions fall and heroes rise. A lot of young talent has risen to show that they are NHL caliber players and are here... More
So far, all we have seen is the Detroit Red Wings show. Led by the unbelievable play of Chris Osgood, Detroit’s defense, and a four-deep line set, Detroit is simply annhililating Pittsburgh. What... More
Though they went to the Stanley Cup Final, the Pittsburgh Penguins will have some holes to fill in the fall. They may turn to a solid roster of prospects to provide the answers. Caputi's potential has Penguins excited

"Give Blood, Play Hockey" tournament
The “Give Blood, Play Hockey” tournament is ready to roll October 3-5, 2008. Sign-ups are being taken now for teams. Last year we raised over $25,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and got more than 100 people to donate blood. This year we are also adding a Bone Marrow Donor Registry drive. Even if you aren’t going to play, come out and support the cause. We’ll have raffles, games, food, and other events going on throughout the weekend (Ryan Getzlaf of the 2007 Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks came out last year to speak to the players).
