penalty
they called a penalty on it and it didn’t matter because they didn’t score on it anyways but it wasn’t a penalty. you can stack the pads and play the puck which is what hasek did. gaborik if he had his head up could have jumped and or deaked his way around hasek but instead got upended. hasek pushed forward at the same time the puck was pushed ahead to a streaking gaborik which is why it was timed perfectly thus the result you see above.

COULD GO EITHER WAY...
After looking at this video clip a few times, it looks more and more like Hasek deliberately used the lower portion of his body to upend Gaborik, which is tripping. Some might argue that Hasek had a right to make a play…depends on if you’re a Red Wing fan or just a hockey fan. To me, the trip was deliberate.
