CONGRATS TO THE RED WINGS ON THEIR STANLEY CUP WIN, AND ALSO TO THE PENGUINS FOR A FANTASTIC SEASON. THE FINALS WERE AWESOME, I JUST FEEL A BIT DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THIS SERIES DESERVED A GAME 7! CONGRATS TO HENRIK ZETTERBERG FOR HIS CONN SMYTHE TROPHY WIN, IT WAS TOTALLY DESERVED. AND FINALLY, CONGRATS TO NICKLAS LIDSTROM FOR BECOMING THE FIRST EUROPEAN CAPTAIN OF A STANLEY CUP CHAMPION. NICKLAS OBVIOUSLY LEARNED VERY WELL FROM STEVIE Y. ON HOW TO BE A CAPTAIN AND HOW TO CARRY YOURSELF. BOTH OF THOSE GUYS ARE TOTAL CLASS ACTS & TRUE LEGENDS. AGAIN, CONGRATS, & THANKS FOR SUCH AN EXCITING FINAL SERIES! THAT BEING SAID, NOW IT’S ONTO THE ‘08-’09 SEASON, & LET’S GO FLYERS!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am as HARDCORE a hockey fan as you will EVER find. I have what you would call an “undeniable & unquenchable passion for hockey”...an absolute hockey fanatic, not a bashing-type of fan, just LOVE good hockey and talking hockey with other fans, no matter what their favorite team is. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was raised in a family where baseball, football & basketball were the only sports that we followed, until my dad got transferred to the Buffalo, NY area (actually West Seneca). It was there that my friends got me into hockey, and the other sports fell into a much lesser role in my life (even though I did try out for a professional baseball team). And so began my love affair with hockey! Also through my father’s transfers I have lived a couple of places in Jersey & Sterling Heights, Michigan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 6’1” 205 lb. power forward by trade, have taken many a beating in front of the net, which explains my looks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Oh yeah….and I REALLY DO BLEED ORANGE & BLACK!!! Hockey movies: “Mystery, Alaska”, “Slapshot”, “Miracle”, “Happy Gilmore” (hey, Happy wanted to be a hockey player!), I even liked “Youngblood”! haha I love psychological thrillers: “Se7en”, “Primal Fear”, “Lucky Number S7even”, “1408”. Also love “Grosse Point Blanke”, “Point Break”, “Con Air”, “The Rock”, “12 Monkeys”........anything with John Cusack, Bruce Willis, Tim Robbins, Robert DeNiro, John Malkovich, Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Cage, Keanu Reeves, Jack Nicholson & of course, Keira Kneightly.
