Rangers Vs Devils

This year has been the most unusual year a Devils fan can remember-to-date. I swear by this next statement. Quote me “The Devils will win on April 6 and if we see the Rangers in the playoffs, we will take them out in 6”.
That goal last night by Nigel Dawes should not be permitted to stand in any case. I have seen it happen in some games this year and it is ridiculous. I feel that more players crashing the net on a loose puck will take a dive or fall easier just to slide towards the net and force the puck into the net with 200+pounds of force.
I am disappointed the NHL isn’t going to take any consideration with the sliding into goalies and being in the net with the puck unless clearly tripped up by an opposing player(Dawes wasnt).
I am ranting right now, I know this, but it is my responsibility as a Devils fan and more as a hockey fan to pray that some consideration be taken into account when that takes place for a goal. Goalie is defenseless.
Devils have played better against the Rangers this year, while the Rangers have won(not taking that away from the Blueshirts or their fans). We will see come April 6th and the playoffs.

I do not mind the Rangers being successful, as a hockey fan and I swear by that always pull for the Rangers to make the postseason and be successful(but not the cup
. I however, feel that Dawes would for exactly the same reason you think he wouldnt score a goal like that in a big game. The way it works is do whatever it takes and he did. Yes he interfered with Brodeur being that Brody was in the back of the net. It is fine I always say the Postseason is where it matters. I would wish the Rangers Good Luck but we need it more.

but your holding onto a dream. like those who jailed galileo for saying the earth revolved around the sun instead of the other way around. plus i think shark2000br comment says it all. “better start with one win before the predictions start.

Just another day in NJD/NYR Rivalry!
The Devs fans would not question it if it was in the reverse situation! As long as I have been watching Hockey,
Devils fans have nothing better to do than tear down the Rangers when they are successful! Hey you guys had your time when you were untouchable! Aggrivating as it was, the Devils were great. The Rangers have been competative for not 1 but 3 years in a row! And this year they own the Devs, HOW MANY YEARS WAS THAT IN REVERSE? Times are a changing! The blue shirts just may win another one before I die!

henrick WILL EVENTUALLY destroy all brodeurs records. Dawes owns the devils this year.
also u have not one single reason to believe the devils will win on the 6th in a game which may actually mean nothing.

uhh just a sore loser...
just kidding, but if you really take a good look at what happened, dawes wasn’t tripped, he was hooked than knocked over and he didn’t crash into brodeur, brodeur knocked into him after the puck had gone over the line. plus dawes isn’t the type of player to TRY and knock in a crap goal. i actually thought the goal might not be allowed but a penalty would be called on the devils for hooking or interference. either way if your team won that way in a tight playoff race you’d take it, anyone would.
