Habs Vs B’s.
I like the Habs in 5. Bruins have had no answer, nor have they competed at all in any of the games. Price will be at the top of his game and Guy Carbaneau will keep the Habs rolling into the Semi’s.

Penguins Vs Sens.
I can’t really picture Ottawa winning this series going into the playoffs the way they have. I do not think the Pens will run away with this series. Penguins over Sens in 6.

Caps Vs Flyers.
Capitals in 7. Ovechkin will get himself rolling quick. The Flyers are still hurting over Simon Gagne and I do not care what anybody says. Washington is way too hot to be stopped by a squeak into the playoffs team.

Devils Vs Rangers
I will be at least attending 3 games in Round 1(starting with Game 2). Devils in 6 as I had predicted when we are 0-7. I said we would win on April 6th and we did. Martin Brodeur is going to have to be the key for the Devils to get past NYR. Elias will need to get himself moving at the start of these playoffs or that Devils in 6 will beat Rangers in 6.

Red Wings Vs Preds.
I see the Red Wings moving along in 4 games. 3/4 of these games will be blowouts no matter what Barry Trotz does. Wings are flying high right now and the Preds have streaked into the playoffs and will be 4 and done. Goaltending is too shaky at this point and no clutch performers from my perspective besides J.Arnott.

Sharks Vs Flames.
San Jose will be advancing in 7 games. Calgary has the personnel to push this series far enough, but not enough. Cheechoo and Marleau were the slowest going Sharks and they are on fire now. It will definitely come down to coaching strategies in this series.

Wild Vs Avs.

I like the Avs in 7. Goaltending and Defence goes to Minnesota, but the Avs have more experience on that bench and that should be enough to get the young players to out perform the Wild. It will not be easy for sure and I think this will be one of the better Quarterfinal matchups.

Ducks Vs Stars.
The Stars need Richards to come back and help that offense speed along. They beat the Ducks tonight without him. The Ducks have plenty of experience of their own and have basically the same team from last years championship run. I feel Dallas should win, but wont win. I have to go with Ducks in 6. Niedermayer and Pronger will anchor.

Just my opinions on this years 1st Round. Love the feedback and obviously this is up for debate, but all predictions are just for fun. Playoff matchups are going to be great ratings for the NHL. Let’s GO DEVS!!
