What kind of celebrator r u???..
Sunday June 08, 2008 @ 06:00 AM EDT
I’ma JUMPER!!!! This is prolly from sitting in the lower bowl almost always….whether it be near the blue line, or behind the net: I’m out of my seat screamin and hi5ing whoever I am with!!!
On my occasional ventures to club level with Wendy I was introduced to the “stuffy, hoity toity sit in their seats and only get up to go pee uppercrust hockey fans. I was actually given dirty looks and even talked to by the people behind us during a game.
I have also witnessed the get up when all the people are up around you people who will sort of unwillingly stand and do the HEY thing only because every one around them are…FAKERS: ur so transparent!!
There are also the young not really hockey fan couples who are on dates. You can always pick them out because they pay little or no attention to warmups or anything hockey, and of course their attire is not hockey related at all…....PFFFFBBTT!! ![]()
And probably the most annoying to me(at least when they are sitting in front of me in the lower bowl) are the people who get up when the Avs simply gain the offensive zone with the puck and stay standing throughout the cyle or scoring chance! GRRRRRR…I have actually had to sic the staff on one woman at the Avs Pens game, only after I yelled at her at least 20 times to “SIT DOWN!!..STAND UP WHEN THEY SCORE!!”
Now I am sure I have missed a lot of types of fans….Please tell me all about the ones I have missed and ur special way of celebrating ur teams goals?! ![]()

All of the above
Anything and everything that comes to mind. As long as I don’t have a voice at the end of the game, I consider it a successful evening. [unless of course we lose.. but then you can always holler at the refs]

Honestly?
If there’s a really hot chick around me , I use the “celebration” as an “opportunity” to introduce myself with a high-5 or if I’m lucky, a hug! Does this make me a typical male pig? OINK

Oh, and....
Good blog, Andypoo. Those types of people you were talking about – the “hoity-toity” fakes, the poser fans – are unfortunately not reading this blog LOL

Screamer/jumper
I’m a screamer/jumper like you. Except at the Garden at a Rangers game. Rooting for anybody but the Rangers there can get you killed – especially in the blueseats. GOD FORBID you show up there in a Devils or Isles jersey. There have been a couple of stabbings in those blue seats.

The edge
I usually sit on the edge of my sit until the Flyers score then I high five and such. I do a lot of “oh” when shots come close or if theres a really good save thats at a game or at home. But during the playoffs (where I’ve only been to once)I have to stand and pace at the begining of each game and when we score I’m all over the place making funny statements and doing crazy things cause I’m so excited and when I’m out I can’t tell you how many strange guys I’ve hugged during every playoff year after a Flyers goal. So I go through a lot of emotions and movements.

I do jump and I sit in the nosebleed section, close to the rail.

Screamer
I mean you can’t just sit on your couch and not show any emotion. If your team scores you scream.

I'm a screamer
I don’t jump a lot, but I agree with you about the fair weather fan. I really get into it the whole game. I used to not have any jerseys, and then my wife got me one, and then I bought one last summer. I can’t imagine not wearing one to a game now. I hate that too when fans are standing up before they score and block your vision. I get into it whereever I am at the Bulb (Phillips Arena). If I am down low, I will hit the glass. The ushers don’t like me much, but I will really get into it. I had seats for the Thrashers-Caps game in mid February given to me. I went by myself even when I couldn’t get anyone to go with me. They were $135 seats! I couldn’t pass that up! I had a parking pass and everything. I don’t know how many games I will get to this year, but I will go to some. I am waiting until they announce the schedule. When they do, I will start to buy some tickets.
Anyhow, I am a screamer more; if I jump, I am afraid I will fall on someone or fall down. I am a big klutz!
