  Well ..

  Last night was not the Sharks finest hour. Brian had a bad night as did the whole first line. And the refs. didn’t help. I really hate losing the game winning goal to an ex-Shark. Dang Nolan anyway. Cheers!

    not a good sunday...

    Caps decide to play like nothing changed and it was still October ‘07, Boston not only figure out Montreals powerplay but figures out how to win a game and then and THEN, the Sharks blow a 3-0 lead?? (btw I took too much time getting downstairs to the big tv so I missed all 3 goals!!). As a Sabres fan I saw that one too many times this year, in fact it was a staple here in Buffalo. Before and after Soupy left. We didn’t know the Flames had picked up Cujo… And is it that way in the west on home ice, all home fans? Did the Sharks just have an internal collapse or was the environment part of it? I know they are were the best road team of the season but during the season I don’t think the west see many sellouts do they? Not sure if your following the east games but look to Boston last night for example. How Montreal blew taking home ice with them is still a head scratcher this morning…

    next year....

    Well since Campbell got traded out west so I finally have a reason to watch west coast hockey, they do have Grier who I loved for his year here and old timer Curtis Brown too. I love Russian hockey players like mad so in this house we’re following the Caps with as much emotion as if it was the Sabres in the playoffs. My brother in law had a Red Wings Fedorov bedroom when he was little. We usually follow the Sabres on the road for the playoffs so it is a bit of an adjustment to get used to watching from the sidelines… big plus to living in Buffalo, everything is so cheap you can afford to travel alot even if your poor like us!

    Not hockey born and raised like my husband but slowly over the last 10yrs I’ve sort of become a bit of a hockey nerd. Last week we went to Florida to visit relatives and what did we do? Spend all our time at the one bar with the center ice package! If somehow the Caps and Sharks meet in the final I may just have a heart attack. Man was it hard to watch game 1 last night… I know that look on Soupy’s face.

    Playoffs wishes

    Well when it was becoming apparent the Sabres wouldn’t make the playoffs or if they did they wouldn’t go far, too many issues this year, I started watching the Capitals. I’ll admit it was mostly because I wanted to see them oust the Hurricanes from the post season. Well I got my wish finally and I’ve been so impressed with how the new coach and the trade deadline choices really changed the whole feel of the team for me. In the west I was starting to follow the Blackhawks but alas they didn’t make it either so of course I am rooting for the Sharks. Damn do we miss #51…
