Free Agency
Got a new blog up on my page regarding the first day of free agency for the Leafs. I’d love to hear your thoughts on what’s transpired thus far.

Or how about
Jeff Finger-4yr-$14 mil, Curtis Joseph-1yr-$700,000 and Niklas Hagman-4yr-$12 mil. Not bad for day 1.

Free agents that might be in sight
Defense-Dmitri Kalinin, John-Michael Liles, Ron Hainsey, Steve Montador, Petteri Nummelin, Mark Streit, Brooks Orpik.
Forwards- Matt Cooke, Kyle Wanvig, Kris Beech, Pascal Dupuis, Sean Avery(I know but he would be good in a Leaf jersey), Jason Williams, Kristian Huselius, Darren Haydar.
1 that would be good as well if his price is right is Michael Ryder. For all the Newfs in Ontario of course.

Fletcher is cleaning house and
as of right now the Leafs have about $16 million of cap space to play with for free agents. They are not likely to go after a Hossa or a Campbell but will get a couple role players and have a lot of wiggle room to bring Sundin back. Now we just have to get it through McCabe’s thick skull that he should go elsewhere to play and Toronto does not have a place for him in their future plans. What free agents do you think would look good in Toronto?
