Hurricane EmilyPensfan66, I just wanted to say thank you for having and starting this wonderful NHL group page for fans and followers of both the Pittsburgh Penguins and of course Mario Lemieux, who is the best hockey player ever to put on the Penguins uniform and give joy and glory to the city of Pittsburgh.

Well...
Wayne Gretzky was an amazing player for sure but Mario Lemieux was the better player.
If they were to switch sides with Gretzky playing in Pittsburgh and Lemieux playing for Edmonton back in the days, and if Lemieux was healthy throughout his career like Gretzky was, then we would have far greater records in the recordbook than the ones that Gretzky put up. Believe me… and the best part would be that he would still be playing the game and busting the records today.

Mario is the Man
I remember when he returned from cancer and he played my flyers. He scored a goal and got a standing ovation from the fans at the spectrum, which never happens for opposing players.
