QMJHL's Gatineau Olympique
Living in Ottawa we are very lucky we got two junior teams one in the OHL and one in the Q, the Gatineau Olympique. As the Sens and 67’s got swept in the first round, the Olympique are still fighting strong. Led by Claude Giroux the Gatineau Olympique are on fire right now. I was @ the game last night against the Halifax Moosehead and they totally outplayed them, pounding them 6-1. The Mooseheads were led by Brad Marchand and Jakub Voracek, but they we’re totally shut down. They are on the verge of sweeping the Moosehead as they are up 3-0 in the series and I don’t see any fight left in the after last nights game. Gatineau would like to finish this up at home, rather then take a long bus ride back to Halifax. Waiting in the finals are the Rouyn Noranda Huskies as they swept there previous opponents.
