With all due respect...
Shanahan is a GREAT hockey player. However, I think his time is up. I’d rather have Prucha over Shanahan now. His age shows when he tries to skate with the youngin’s (which is about 80% of the NHL). He did a lot of things for hockey and he was a very respectable guy. Prucha had like 43 points 2 seasons ago when he saw ice time.

Shanny and Sundin
Why have we heard little about either of these two? Apparently the League and all the clubs are trying to work out an agreement that would allow clubs to legally spend money on players over the salary cap. However, such an agreement may not be decided on until September 15th. Let’s hope something happens soon.
Good news: Shannahan is focused on staying in New York. He has enrolled his three children at a Manhattan prep school. He is willing to take a salary cut.

OK GUYS
dust has settled and the team has taken shape for the most part i know some of the ranger fans are scratching their heads saying wtf ….but this is what tom renney has been working towards for three years a balanced four line club roll the four lines and get production and yea averys gone but with the additions of naslund and zherdev we are faster and more balanced by far yes i never cared about how jagr played it worked…but now balance is key…our defense got a nice boost and we now have 5 very good puck moving d men and all 6 are defensively sound redden making 6 is no problem hes a 2 wat dman and hes gonna be somewhat of a pp qb like leetch …as we speak shanny is supposedly only talking to the rangers and according to hockey blogger eklund (moron) his dog says sudin to ny ….we cant afford him but who knows a few trades and a sacrifice by mats and he could be in brodway blue which is quite posssible considering hes waiting a few more weeksto decide
