Less than 24 hours after announcing the re-signings of both center Evgeni Malkin and defenseman Brooks Orpik, Pens' GM Ray Shero added Ruslan Fedotenko and Miroslav Satan to the mix, and signed Marc-Andre Fleury to a seven-year deal.
The Rangers continued their remodeling by agreeing to terms with five-time All-Star Markus Naslund on a two-year deal and defenseman Dmitri Kalinin on a one-year pact. The deals likely spell the end of Jaromir Jagr's tenure with the Rangers.
With Brian Campbell gone to Chicago, the San Jose Sharks bolstered their defense by signing free agent Rob Blake to a one-year contract. Blake has more than 700 career points and has scored more goals than any active NHL defenseman.

Mason trade
What’s everyone’s take on the Mason trade to the Blues? As bad as I hate to say it, I think it’s a good thing for the Preds. Got Ellis resigned and now we can get Rhinne up to the big club. Two great goaltenders for the Preds. I liked Chris so he will definately be missed. But I think this will work out better for the Preds in the long run.

It’s hard to believe our season is over. NASHVILLE IS PROUD OF OUR PREDS! Looking forward to next season! In the meantime I’m rooting for the Flyers!
