A Kid in a Candy Store
So I flew in and went to the Motor City Casino to drop off my stuff, and this is where it starts – I’ve been to the Joe maybe 30, 40 times, but I’ve never been ablt to go through the players’ entrance before. Looking for a Wings-Pens final
This series will be fun to watch. We’re both friends with Modano and Morrow, so we want to see them do well, but they both know we’re rooting for the Wings. Modano is actually a Michigan native and Morrow is such an exciting player to watch. Every shift against San Jose he was knocking people over. There’s a reason he’s the captain – he has so much heart and he never stops. It seems like every goal in the playoffs, he’s been a part of, whether it’s scoring or making something happen....more

Switching gears
So, since my teams are gone, I have to cheer for someone, so Pittsburgh is that someone. Plus, I’d love to go up against Thorsten in the Stanley Cup Finals. He was so nice to me in his blog, giving me a shout-out for my Emmy nomination. I can tell you, he was egregiously left off the list for leading men. A breather, finally
Lots of emotions get stirred up around this time of year. I actually refrained from blogging during the last few games due to a lack of good things to say. Come on! Drop the puck already!
I am not kidding you. I opened the mailbox and inside was a stuffed Penguin. Seriously! As in a dog toy, fluffy stuffy, not a taxidermied bird. Probably a prank from some embittered Rangers fan lamenting that their Captain Billy Goat Gruff (aka Jagr) was not long for the second round. Heck, even I’m gonna miss Sean Avery, who should be dubbed the Tiger Williams of his era! Do I care for his antics? His erratic behavior? Do I wish him well in healing his spleen? Do I wonder which team bus he’ll be tossed off next? Yes, yes, yes and YES! Get well soon Sean. The game needs you....more
