    Go Devils Go!

The Cardiff Devils made a big statement on Sunday night as they crushed the GMB Nottingham Panthers 6-2 in the Bay.

The Devils maintained their seven-game winning streak by overpowering the Panthers to record another four-point weekend and move into third place on the Elite League table. Incredibly, the Devils are now only 3 points behind the first-placed Coventry Blaze, who appeared to be light years ahead of Cardiff at the end of September.

Devils On Fire going into Basingstoke Home game

The Cardiff Devils carry their 3-game winning streak into Saturday’s home game against the Basingstoke Bison.

The Devils were on fire in October, winning 7 out of 9 games and surging up the Elite League table. Cardiff are now tied for fourth place in the league and can continue to climb the ladder in November, beginning this weekend with the visit of the Bison and an away game against the Nottingham Panthers on Sunday.

Cardiff enter the weekend as one of the hottest teams in the EIHL and have rekindled their ambition of challenging the Coventry Blaze for the league title.

Top scorer Max Birbraer carries a 7-game point streak into the game and his partnership on the first line with Jason Silverthorn and Sylvain Deschatelets has been vital to the Devils’ recent success. The forward lines have been settled and new winger Mike Prpich should benefit after having a full week of training.
