YoungGuns and Skills
I LOVE hockey. Love the young stars and nothing is greater than the skillscompetition. Having the great stars of the NHL show what they can do, butthe TV coverage that Versus put on last night was ABSURD. Things totallywrong with last night. 1. Rail cam is just as bad as the glowing puck idea.2. The one shooter in the accuracy competition was shown totally from thetarget cam. 3. Fastest skater being timed from a stop watch. 4. Versus putsup a half screen ad in the middle of action during the YoungGuns game. 5.Bill Clement saying to skate fast, you need to skate at a 90 degree angle.IMMPOSIBLE!!!!! 6. There is NO way that Phaneuf’s slap shot is only 90 mph.7. There is no way that was the Top 6 fastest skaters out there. Myfavorite event was a disgrace. After going on my rant there, I don’t wantpeople to think I hate the sport, because in no way shape or form do I. Itis just that one of the best sporting events was VERY subpar.
