Description
I went to my first game at the ripe age of 10 months. Madison Square Garden. New Year’s Eve. 1986. Rangers vs. Montreal Canadiens. My dad played hockey in high school, wanted me to either be the first professional female baseball player in the MLB or the first professional female hockey player in the NHL. Guess not, huh? I was born and raised in Long Island, New York, also known as SportsCentral. I now live in a town that isn’t exactly a fan of the red, white and blue I wear so proudly on my chest, but they’ll get over it. I like beer.

Gotcha. Well, in that case I wish you luck in whichever direction you choose to go… I am very much looking forward to seeing my friends’ new digs in Brooklyn. Definitely agree with you on the food. If it wasn’t for the seafood [esp. the crab] in Baltimore, I would miss it a lot more.

I’m sorry to hear that it didn’t work out. Personally, I have only been through the Pittsburgh area a few times. I guess as an outsider its easy to say that its nice, but as I’ve learned as well, you don’t really know how you feel about a place until you’ve spent a few years in it. I hope for your sake that the move does work out. I have two good friends that just moved to Brooklyn. I can’t wait to have a place to crash when I make the 4 hour journey to catch a Rangers game!

I was born in Medford. It’s on the eastern side of the island about a half an hour west of Riverhead. How about you?
