Description:

I am a passionate fan of the sport of hockey and I think that hockey players are some of the best athletes out there (in more than just the athletic sense too, they’re genuinely good people). The players that I have met have truly endeared me to the sport. I love the Colorado Avalanche and although I am unhappy with the NHL lately I will always be an Avalanche fan as I have been from day one in Denver.

Colorado Eagles (CHL), Denver Pioneers (college), Colorado Mammoth (lacrosse), Denver Broncos (lifelong fan), Colorado Rockies (newer fan).

Favorite Players:

John-Michael Liles, Paul Stastny, Wojtek Wolski, Joe Sakic, Andrew Brunette, Milan Hejduk, Peter Budaj, Marek Svatos, Peter Forsberg, Adam Foote and now Jose Theodore (he grew on me…see the blog).

Music:

I like a lot of music, but I’ll list some of my favorite bands: the Beatles, the Eagles, Queen, Korn, the Fray, the Who, Disturbed, and Aerosmith.

Books:

I am currently reading Cold Fire by Dean Koontz. I just finished up Lisey’s Story by Stephen King, that was a good one. Up next: Whatever sounds the most interesting.

Movies:

Miracle, Pearl Harbor, Maurice Richard: The Rocket, The Shining, Slap Shot, Meet the Parents, Meet the Fockers, Across the Universe and Mystery, Alaska.

Other interests:

Outside being an avid hockey fan, I love to read books. I am a major CSI nut (only the original though!). I’ve always enjoyed to write whether it be stories, poetry, blogs or about hockey. My other huge love is dogs. I work at a doggy daycare and it’s a really fantastic job. I love the dogs I work with and they make my job seem like it’s not really work.
