Description:
Big time Detroit Red Wing fan since the late 1980’s. Learned about hockey from watching them play,and really enjoyed it when they finally, after 41 years, got the Stanley Cup..back to back no less; cried when Steve Yzerman retired and marvel at Chris Chelios still playing with the intensity of a player half his age. I find it annoying sometimes to try and explain, why I would love a sport that barely has anyone of my own race in it, the fact that a good fight DOES have it’s place once in a while, and why I get so upset when the Red Wings and the Pistons are scheduled to play on the same night.

Detroit Pistons, Detroit lions (yes I root for them too), Detroit Shock… oh yeah, Grand Rapids Griffins…see a pattern here ?
Favorite Players:
The entire team ! Really ! Especially Chelios, Lidstrom,Draper,Holmer,Hudler,Zetterburg..well, I think you get it.
Music:
Contemporary Christain, Jazz, Contemporary Gospel, lite rock, classical.
Books:
The Bible, Lord of the Rings trilogy and various other sci-fi/fantasy books.
Movies:
family, some romantic comedies, some martial arts, some action/ fantasy/sci-fi and musicals, especially those made prior to the 1960’s.
Other interests:
Singing in my choir, reading, watching good movies and , of course watching sports..especially hockey !

oh yeah i just notice his pic in your groups...
I got to meet the legendary… Ollie Oree the same time meeting Mario Lemieux. I got a pic somewhere not in the computer so i have to post it another time. He was very nice.
