I’ve been a hockey fan since i could walk. I’m a die-hard fan, i breath hockey! Living in Ottawa, Canada, one of my two favorite teams are the Ottawa Senators. The other team is the Dallas Stars. I get limited Dallas hockey games here but the internet helps alot. I watch every sens game. My favorite player is Mike Modano and my favorite hockey moment is watching him lift the cup in 1999. I used to play alot of hockey till things got busy, but i love playing outdoor hockey on a beautiful clean sheet of ice (something u got to love canada for, our winter rinks) or even playing road hockey which i would play every day when i was younger. I even got the opportunity to play outdoor rink hockey against a female team ontario forward and get deeked so bad i fell on my ass. One of my favorite hockey quotes: “This is the only thing that has seen more parties than us.” – Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) after admiring the Stanley Cup.

Hey Sens/Stars
Thanks for the comment on the Gretzky blog, he was amazing to see. I know fans in New York might disagree about his greatness, but nothing topped his Oiler days. I actually saw a few comments a while back dissing Gretzky, and it irked me a bit….so I decided to take matters into my own hands and offer a reminder. Glad you enjoyed it!

you're right.
any GM would kill to have a player like spezza on the team. he is extremely consistant when it comes to getting points. he rarely has an “off night”. and he has yet to really enter his prime. allz i’m sayin’ is that he also consistantly gives the puck away too – it’s just a little frustrating to watch when it happens several times a game, through 80 games. yu wanna talk about stats, ya 90 points is absolutely amazing. but 96 give-aways, good for second worst in the league only after joe thornton, well.. it’s just one of spez’s weaknesses as a player. every player has weaknesses and no one is perfect. my point is basically that since his defensive game is not exactly reliable all of the time, he is not yet worth 7 million dollars a season. it’s the money more than anything that causes my idea of trade. but seriously, i’m quite happy he is locked up and he will be a bargain within two years – especially once he becomes just as great defensively … as of right now though, i’m a little worried about the cap hit.
.
now that emery and grats are gone, i wouldn’t be surprised to see spez have his best season yet. if he, alfie and heater all have full, healthy seasons, and if they still play together on a top line, spez = at least 105 points.
