I’ve been a Penguins fan since 1985. It was during my junior and senior year of college (at Penn State) the Penguins won their two Stanley Cups. Living in DC and now LA, it’s been tough following the team, but this past September I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease and spent a lot of time at home. I got NHL Center Ice and watched all the Penguins games and it helped me get through the days, weeks and months of treatment. Of course Mario Lemieux’s Hodgkin’s story is a constant inspiration to me and I would love to meet him and tell him how much his example helped me deal with the disease.

it's not so much
the whole rating thing that irritates me. what irritates me is that people act like you can only talk/blog about hockey here. I realize that it’s an NHL fan site, but damn… not every single comment has to be about hockey.

thanks for the Go Pens comment on my blog lol. but don’t worry I wouldn’t judge you as a bandwagoner. Pretty much just the teenage girls that I see w/ mrs Crosby or I love Crosby and all the people w/ the best comeback they have to prove that the pens are better than my team is the fact that the they have Crosby and people that just worship him like he’s God

jagr to omsk, thankfully.
honestly, i never saw double j making a return to the ‘burgh. for starters, he’s not big on being told what to do, especially not by coaches (see kevin constantine) and has a reputation of being a headache in the locker room. the pens core is built on trust and a desire to succeed, but it stems from team chemistry and harmony. the biggest question is whether or not jagr would take a backseat to bing and geno – and i would fathom the answer would be no.
