Description
I’ve been a hockey fan since the late 60’s, when I saw the Montreal Canadiens upset the Chicago Blackhawks with rookie Ken Dryden stealing the show. Have been a Sabres fan since their inception into the NHL in 1970. Man, could Gilbert Perreault SKATE! Was a recent college graduate the FIRST time they went to the Stanley Cup Finals vs. Philadelphia in 1975. I’ve been living in Florida since 1988, and followed them with renewed interest when they went to the Finals in 1999 vs. Dallas. Win, lose, or shootout (ugh), I’m always gonna follow the Sabres.

Hiya
It has been a while. Yup, the Sharks are doing pretty darned well this season but I hate these rinky-dink losses in OT or SO like the one to the Pens. Grrrr. Tonight’s gonna be a tough one – I just have to cheer for the Sharks but I really hope the Sabs take it into OT and get a point.

I know!
I get a giggle every time I look at the standings and see Ottawa sitting there below the Leafs. I only hope the Sabs can get back to their early season form. Giving up goals so late in games when they’re leading … I hate that! The Sharks kept doing that in the playoffs. Fortunately, the new coach seems to be curing them of that tendency.
BTW, happy belated Veteran’s day, my friend.

The Ducks ..
…stink on ice. (Dang, am I funny or what?) So, the Sharks gave Anaheim its first win — I think of it as a pity loss. The Sabs are technically undefeated. Yeah, they got a loser point, as Jimmy likes to call them, but since most sports writers were picking them for last in the division, I’m feeling purty darned pleased with them.

Do you love it?
Off to a great start for the Sabs & Sharks. I see it’s been two months. Where does the time go .. ? And what do you think of the Ducks start?

hey
No problem for the add. And I agree, he is a really great guy. But hopefully the weather in Florida is better than it is here in Buffalo, since it’s pouring here today.
